Residential design
This hallway was 148sqm and took several months to complete. As you can see, it required scaffolding to reach the 8m high ceilings. It certainly conquered my fear of heights and I had to make sure I had everything in order before the climb. The finish is provided by Novacolor, a blend of three opaque metallics to create shadows and soft reflective surfaces. As the finish progresses down into the lower hall, I gradually changed it to a more reflective finish, as it has less natural light due to the floating walkway. Where the sitting areas are, the 8m window provides a gateway of sunlight that catches the crushed, marble texture and finishes of the two feature walls. This texture is echoed in other areas around the house.
